    • Probably compressed for shipping. Could throw it in the dryer with a few tennis balls on low heat/delicate. Should help puff it up.
I puffed it up and yeah there were a couple parts that just had 0 fill or very little fill, even just compared to the same part on the opposite side. Ended up returning it for store credit.

    • I just opened the one I got shipped and it seems to have less fill than the one I bought in store. There are panels that feel like they don't have any fill at all, but even on other panels the store bought one looks like it has more poof. Ill leave it out for a day to see if it poofs up so we will see.

I ordered the blue flame, thankfully not as shiny and bright as in the photos. Was only colour left at the time in Medium when I ordered.
Hi. what color is blue flame? The image on the website is almost neon. What color is it in reality. can you post a picture (with something to compare the color to)?

    • Hoody Cinch = a way to tighten the hood?

There is a pull hidden under a flap at the back of the hood.
I have the most recent Paradox down jacket, purchased this fall.

      Paradox:
+Outer fabric is matte and appears to be more wear resistant
+Main zipper is much larger, less likely to break
+Elastic cuffs use external round elastic, nicer feel than the internal scrunched fabric version on the Aritzia
-Not the warmest, though with layers I have taken it down to like -20C so really its adequate
-Hood is pretty terrible, way too loose with no real adjustments, just blows off in wind
*Fit is more relaxed than the Aritzia version, could be positive or negative depending on what you are looking for

      Aritzia:
+Might be warmer with 850FP, still to be tested.
      +Lighter than paradox model
+Additional internal pocket, though it is just over top of the other internal pockets.
+Hood is better, not adjustable but at least it feels like it would stay on.
Hood is adjustable as per the above

    • Bought a small. Very fast shipping ( 2 days) .Feels warm. Haven't tried outside. Still deciding to exchange when XS comes in.

I'm 5'5, 150lbs. Feels a bit loose when I don't layer inside, wearing only an underlayer (heattech shirt). See pictures.

It gives room for a sweater, but I am planning to use it as a layer inside a waterproof jacket.

In comparison I have a XS Uniqlo down jacket with no hood I use as layer but it's been not as warm this year. It's not as "bulky" but surely not as warm (Bought in 2016).

Returned the small and got the medium today. Much better fit for me as I can layer with it now. Small was too tight for layering, could barely zip it up with a sweater.
I'm quite impressed with the quality and warmth. Well worth $75.
I'm also a similar build. Would agree that you might want to size up to a medium for a roomier fit to allow for layering. However, I opted to go for a size small, as they had it in black.

I originally ordered a medium in gray, but I'm really not a fan of the color. The jacket is also a bit boxy but overall was still a decent fit, but the smaller is much snugger which I think is quite nice for a puffier jacket like this. I was worried the small wouldn't fit, but the jacket is roomy and flexible enough that either worked. However, I would again recommend medium if you want to be able to fit a thicker sweater underneath.

Both are a bit shorter than I would like though. Much prefer the black color, as it's a bit less shiny and looks a lot sleeker.

    • I received the jacket in black, size L. It fits great. I do find the sleeves slightly long but, it's not enough to bunch up at my wrists. The outer shell has a bit of sheen to it as it is shown on the website. The logo on the hood is small and I find it to be not noticeable. The jacket isn't as puffy as I anticipated it to be. It may be little puffier than Uniqlo's. I had it on while I had to shovel the snow and it kept me nice and warm.

As someone above has put it, it's definitely not worth it at its original price. At $75, it is a decent jacket. I hope that it doesn't lose down overtime through the seams.

By the way, the jacket was showing out of stock but, clicking around allowed me to place an order. I fully expected them to cancel it but, two days later, the jacket was delivered.

The last couple reviews the jacket seems to fit true.

    • Went for a walk this morning in -3 degrees with the windchill it was -10 and this jacket kept me warm. I was wearing an undershirt and sweater underneath.

Actually measured it versus the Costco Paradox (no hood version) in a small and the length is shorter by 1.5 inches and the hips are 0.5 inch less (1.0 inch less total circumference). These two areas are what is making the jacket feel more fitted. Here are the dimensions for those interested.

      Paradox Size Small
      Chest 20.75 (under armholes)
      Sleeves 26.75
      Hips 20.5
      Length 27.5

      Super Lite Size Small
      Chest 21 (under armholes)
      Sleeves 27
      Hips 20
      Length 26

I was debating going up a size to medium but the chest and sleeves fit fine, it is the lower part. But I am afraid the medium will make the chest too loose and arms longer but give more room at the hips. If someone could measure the medium it would be interesting to compare. Would the medium be one inch larger or more like two or three inches larger?

Though still wouldn't be surprised to see them start carrying Reigning Champ (for both men and women)!

    • as this thread has shown, if they're willing to make exchanges, they'll be ok with returns as well.
And as this thread has shown, many members were told they can exchange but not refund, so again, making generalizations like this is misplaced when it's a YMMV situation.

FYI many retailers are fine with exchanges because they still keep your money, but not refunds because they don't get to keep your money.

Same concept as with being fine with giving credit or gift cards but not allowing refunds.

Their return policy isn't lenient and not sure how you can say with such certainty what they'll do if you don't work for them, never tried it yourself, and are just telling others to. So whatever man...

The sizing does not seem consistent or maybe my sizing is off, I am 176cm and 69kg on a bad day, small is perfect and medium is too big.
Being OK because somebody asked and they said yes is not the same as randomly sending them your item and expecting that to force them to refund you with "no interaction". Doing that is stupid and asking for things to turn into a headache for the customer doing it.

    • Got the small today.
I'm 5'6", 30' waist, didn't measure chest. 147lb's or so. Slightly broad shoulders. More on the athletic side.

It fits pretty well, not too tight. But I was tryinfg it on with a tshirt. I'll test fit it later with a sweater/hoodie. Length is good as well, didn't feel it constricting movement.
For reference, I'm a size small in pretty much every brand. Nike, Adidas, Uniqlo, Gap, etc.

I won't be trying this as I am happy with the jackets I got, thank you very mucho.
just to clear the air with all these comments... I called and they allowed me to exchange to a M for free. They also said even tho It's final sale, I could go to the store and return for a "store credit." but since I'm doing an exchange, I'll be mailing it back (typically $8 postage fee but it's free when doing an exchange).

Yes. Many companies return back to the customer, maybe even charge them for shipping back. The label itself even says final sale (for items over 50% off) as does the product page, checkout page, order confirmation, return policy, etc.

Companies that provide a return shipping label with the order are few and far between. It's appreciated. It's much better than having customers print them themselves, and not everybody has a printer these days. Doing stupid crap like this will only make them stop providing labels up front.
